Tiwani Spirulina is located in Tiwi, Kwale. Situated on the pristine south coast of Kenya, East Africa.
Tiwani Spirulina grows 'Arthrospira Platensis' commercially known as spirulina. Spirulina is a powerful, ancient and naturally occurring super-food.
What makes spirulina interesting is that it is one of the richest protein sources on Earth and because it is a bacteria it has no cell wall like plants and animals, which makes spirulina extremely digestible. Utilisation rate is key.
Our particular strain originated from Lake Natron. Lake Natron is a mineral-rich soda lake in southern Kenya, on the border with Tanzania.
The perfect coastal weather makes for the ideal spirulina growing conditions; clean air and hot sunny days.
Our 1 acre farm is built around maximising quality and every stage of the production process has been meticulously designed to ensure a purer final product.
We protect our precious spirulina in enclosed polythene greenhouses, the greenhouses help us give our spirulina the ideal growing conditions, creating a more potent purer final product.
We are driven to produce spirulina with the highest overall protein, mineral and nutrient content and in a natural way.
We believe in spirulina as the food for the future and we believe in an alternative and holistic approach to new age health.
The only thing truly constant in the world is change itself and we actively look to adapt and improve our growing and processing methods, if it results in a better quality and efficiency.
At Tiwani Spirulina we focus on producing the finest quality as we wish to stay true to the superfood that spirulina is.
We want our customers to feel the benefits of spirulina to the greatest extent. This enforces our business cycle.
Our compact farm setup gives us greater control over our precious cultures and the growing and processing conditions and combined together these result in a purer, more potent final product.
We will strive to maintain our position as a premium grower, at the same time providing a product that is affordable to our customers.
Our products target people who are looking for a natural health kick and that extra energy boost that makes you wake up feeling alive.
We are surrounded by pollutants and processed foods and on top of that the hustle and bustle of life has got us cash rich but time poor and of course we want to feel healthy, but we don't always have the time to eat exactly right.
Introducing spirulina into our diets can dramatically help us get the right nutrients that we need everyday, in order to feel fresh and alive.
Natural superfoods are our shortcut to better overall nutrition.
Our bodies need certain inputs and increasingly it is becoming clear that diet is one of the main keys to a healthy body and mind.
We believe quality will always have a place in an ever changing world.
At Tiwani Spirulina we aim to produce affordable and premium grade spirulina.
We aim to be ethical and ecological, making no impact on the environment around us or the water table below us.
We aim to empower our staff to take pride in producing a super Kenyan product and to focus on efficient and quality work, this in turn creates a product that has been produced with special care.
We wish to train our staff in new skills and educate them about aquaculture, business and their responsibility to society as a whole, in a hope to further their personal development.
We value our customers and their needs and are constantly looking to improve our methods to provide a consistent and premium spirulina quality standard in Kenya.
Staying healthy is a commitment and we hope to make it more convenient for you; by incorporating spirulina into an alternative lifestyle towards natural and holistic health.
Our bodies are complex organic organisms, but if we give them the right inputs our bodies are capable of protecting and healing themselves.
Food is medicine, prevention will always be superior to cure and in the end we are what we eat.
Spirulina is the food for the future and will play an ever increasingly important part of our daily diets as well as reduce our strain on our planets finite resources.
Health is wealth.
